About the College

The Faculty of Engineering was established in 2000 with the aim of achieving excellence in engineering education and scientific research. It began with three main departments: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (with specializations in Communications and Power), and Civil Engineering. In 2018, a Renewable Energy Engineering specialization was introduced. In 2022, the college launched a Master’s Program in Mechanical Engineering to provide advanced education in mechanical system design and analysis, focusing on developing students' research and practical skills.
The Faculty is committed to improving its academic programs to meet societal developments, believing that university success hinges on preparing graduates who can contribute to society. It attracts outstanding faculty members locally and internationally, enhances scientific research, and collaborates with government agencies and civil institutions. A strategic plan for 2025-2029 aims to develop academic programs, enhance research, and upgrade the educational environment, ensuring resources are available for students and faculty. The college prides itself on its commitment to excellence in education and community service, looking forward to a future filled with achievements and innovations.
