Goals
To enhance students’ capabilities in political knowledge and provide a comprehensive understanding... of political systems, identifying elements of change and continuity within these systems locally, regionally, and internationally.
* To increase students’ knowledge of the mechanisms of democratic systems, particularly concerning electoral systems, levels of representation, and the conscious and rational exercise of the right to vote.
* To support students’ ability to study and analyze political ideas and their impact on reality and the political developments that have occurred in political theory, both ancient, modern, and contemporary.
* To increase students’ knowledge of Arab and Islamic intellectual output in the political phenomenon and the lessons learned from it in managing political affairs in the present time.
* To raise students’ ability to understand and analyze political events on the international stage and the mechanisms and principles of international relations and diplomacy.
* To prepare qualified personnel capable of working in state institutions, civil society organizations, and the media.
* To provide the community with the expertise of the department’s professors in conducting courses and lectures, completing research, and providing political consultation in a way that enhances political awareness in society.
